Wind Empowerment is a global network sharing knowledge and resources to empower rural communities to build small wind turbines.

The association was founded in 2011 in Senegal, to address the need for global communication and networking on the topic of small wind power.

Wind Empowerment is a registered charity in the UK and today Wind Empowerment consists of over 70 member organisations around the world, we believe in giving power to the people, and using renewable energy technologies in small-scale hybrid systems.
