Where to Go?

Wilderness 2022 will take place on Thursday 4th - Sunday 7th August.
You can see our new campsite locations here.

Our address can be found by putting the postcode OX7 3DG into your SatNav. As you approach the estate, you’ll see yellow AA road signs. From that point follow them, follow these signs NOT your SatNav and they'll guide you to your correct gate.

Gates and Box Offices
RED GATE – General & Boutique
BLUE GATE – Family, Meadow, Live-In Vehicle and Accessibility
GREEN GATE - Non-Camper pedestrians

Non-Campers that are driving can choose to park in either Blue or Red Car Park but please note you will not be able to have the same parking spot each time you come and go from the festival.

By Train & Shuttle Bus

Arriving by train is an easy and environmentally friendly choice, so please consider it.
Charlbury Station is the local station, and regular trains are available from London Paddington.
If you choose to walk from the station, it is approximately 1.5 miles, taking roughly 20 minutes, but please be aware that the roads are winding.

Shuttle Bus
There will be shuttle buses running to and from Charlbury station to the various festival campsites.

Monday: 09:00 - 11:30

Single £3 | Return £5 - Please note that this is a cash only service. Passenger change will be have been pre-sanitised and coin monies received dropped into disinfectant, or wiped in the case of polymer notes


By Bike

If you are coming to Wilderness by bike, hurrah! You're doing amazing work to help reduce the festival's carbon footprint.

Join Red Fox Cycling with their Ride to Wilderness package. Starting in Richmond London, you’ll cycle through the beautiful Thames-side towns of Berkshire and the picture-perfect villages of rural Oxfordshire. You’ll camp overnight in a woodland retreat, getting to know each other around the campfire or over dinner in a quaint village pub. With guides and a support van on hand, providing food, mechanical support and plenty of encouragement. They can even bring you and your bike back to Richmond after the festival. This ride is open to cyclists of all levels and ability, you just need to be moderately fit and capable of cycling approximately 46 miles per day.

By Coach

Take the hassle out of travelling to Wilderness 2022 and travel greener by choosing Big Green Coach’s direct weekend coach service.

Returning with their weekend coach service for all you campers, all coaches will arrive on the Thursday, dropping you straight to the heart of the festival and depart on the Monday, so you can forget that tough drive home and sleep all the way home.

By Car

Car Sharing

Arrival by Car

For General, Meadow, Boutique, Quiet and Live-In Vehicle Camping use postcode OX7 3DG. 

If you're staying in Family Camping use postcode OX7 3HL.

IMPORTANT: As you approach the estate, you’ll see yellow AA road signs. Follow them, not your satnav, They will guide you into the festival, so keep your eyes peeled!

Car Park Pass
Make sure you purchase the correct car park pass for your chosen campsite.
Blue - Family Camping. Red - General and Quiet Camping. Meadow - Meadow Camping

You can purchase in advance or buy on the gate, cash only.

By Live-In Vehicle

If you have booked Live-In Vehicle Camping Tickets (1 per person) and a Live-In Vehicle Pass (1 per 6x7m pitch) then head for Blue Gate.
In response to your feedback, our Live-In Vehicle Campsite has moved - see it's new location here.

If your live-in vehicle is to be delivered to site by someone else, please note:
Vehicle must have it’s valid Live-In Vehicle Pass(es) displayed before it arrives.
Vehicles cannot be dropped off before campsites open noon on Thursday.
Vehicles will be directed to a pitch as they arrive, so if you would like to stay next to someone else, you'll need to arrive together.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have not booked BOTH a Live In Vehicle Pass (1 per 6x7m pitch) and Live-In Vehicle Tickets (1 per person), you will not be allowed to enter the Live-In Vehicle Campsite, and you are not allowed to sleep in your vehicle in the car parks.

If any one of these firms have a car already parked at the station (4 seater car/4 paying passengers) then price should be £10 to Yellow/Blue Gate or £20 to Red Gate.

Prices for minibuses will vary and prices to any other destination is to be agreed between the parties themselves.

Unfortunately, the local Charlbury taxi services do not have disabled access but can store a folded up wheelchair in the back of their vehicles.
