We’re blink mental health, and our vision is simple:
We want to see hundreds of thousands more people receive rapid, appropriate and effective mental health support in the UK.
Blink was born from an ambitious idea back in 2018, where we first start dreaming of a different solution to mental health support.
Our Founders have first-hand experience being treated by the NHS, as well as the private healthcare system; including spending time in the Priory Hospital. This support, although vital, still felt like it could go so much further to providing effective mental health support. We want to create a future where no one has to endure long waiting times, poor treatment from professionals and treatment that do not meet their needs.
What we are doing there
A key service of ours is hosting wellbeing tents at festivals across the UK; providing mindfulness activities; a place to relax and chill; a safe space to talk openly about mental health; and access free professional talking therapy sessions with qualified psychologists and counsellors.
Our therapy sessions are free and accessible to anyone during the festival. There are no long wait lists or strict criteria that people need to meet.
The sessions can be up to 50 minutes long and they provide an opportunity to talk to a fully qualified therapist in a relaxed, safe and non-judgemental environment.
We offer a safe space where people can relax; with the option to also take part in mindfulness activities. We would love to see you there, so feel free to pop in and say hello, no appointment necessary and discover more about Blink, our activities or to learn more about helping us to provide mental health support, when people need it most.
More information will be provided in 2023.
