Mindful Nature Walks

Friday 10:00 & 12:00 – £10

Where do essential oils come from?  Come on a sensory adventure to find out how essential oils are made and why plants produce them.  Using our noses we will sniff out some of the aromatic plants growing in the grasslands, woodlands and lakeside habitats of Wilderness, and discover how and why plants are creating these smelly properties.  This walk will take us into the weird and wonderful world of plant communication – yes the plants really are talking to one another!  Come along to find out how.

Making Botanical Extracts

Saturday 11:00 – £20

What exactly are essential oils and floral waters and how are they made?  During this workshop participants will have the chance to learn the ancient art of essential oil distillation using traditional copper stills.  Beginning with a foraging session to collect some aromatic plants, a live distillation will then be carried out to capture the spirit of the collected plants.  Participants will come away with their very own Wilderness Festival floral water, distilled on site from flowers/herbs found within the grounds.

Making Natural Skincare

Sunday 11:00 – £20

During this workshop, participants will learn how to use floral waters to make beautiful natural and fresh cosmetic products such as facial mists, cleansers, serums and toners.  Participants will leave with their own bespoke product that we’ll create during the class, based on a floral water distilled on site from flowers/herbs found within Wilderness grounds.

Please note experiences are not refundable or exchangeable, so please make sure you are happy before booking. Experiences will only be held for 20minutes, after that tickets are subject to resale and and will be automatically cancelled without refund.
