A Brummie through and through, Brad Carter is the chef owner behind the Michelin-starred restaurant Carters of Moseley. Having worked his way up through jobs and training within the industry in his home town of Birmingham, a stint abroad ignited a passion for whole animal butchery and ancient preservation techniques.
When Brad returned to the UK, he continued to work hard in local pubs and restaurants, before opening Carters of Moseley in 2010. Brad’s food is a true expression of British terroir with every ingredient on the menu coming from the British Isles and following the natural rhythms of the season, led by the ingredients available to him and inspired by the producers who work the British landscape. Now over a decade old, the restaurant has been awarded a host of accolades including The Good Food Guide’s Restaurant of the Year in 2014, that coveted Michelin star since 2015, 3 AA Rosettes and being named in both the Sunday Times’ Top 100 Restaurants and the National Restaurant Awards Top 100 lists in 2019.
