Join artist, art tutor and yoga teacher Bella Franks for a life drawing class in the wild. Drawing the human form is a beautiful experience as you learn to ‘look’ – we often think we know the things around us, but rarely do we really look and study them fully.
Life drawing gives us the opportunity to get completely absorbed in seeing more deeply, helping us to connect to our own selves through the creative process of drawing the human form. It is a unique and special experience which you will be guided through by Bella, who has been teaching life drawing for over a decade. Her open, friendly nature brings an inclusivity to the class – it is open to all with no pressure or expectations. Bella is supportive and encouraging and will offer drawing tips with activities to help participants find their flow at the drawing board.
The class will be accompanied by live ambient music played by composer & multi-instrumentalist Joe Harvey-Whyte. The music syncs beautifully with the model posing, creating the perfect atmosphere to become fully immersed in the creative process.
The class will begin with quick, dynamic poses from the model, with a series of warm up drawing exercises, followed by longer poses (between 10-20 minutes) with Bella giving drawing demos and offering individual support to anyone who needs it.
With Bella’s experience as a yoga and meditation teacher, she will encourage guests to stretch, move and breathe between each drawing, helping them to find clarity of mind and connect to their bodies while discovering their own creativity.
All basic art materials, drawing boards and paper provided.
