This talk will introduce several Two-Spirit artists from past and present, exploring their practice in the context of confronting colonial anthropology. In this way, Cas will be following the invitation by the likes of Kent Monkman (aka. Miss Chief) to learn from indigenous perspectives in order to unpack the racism and transphobia in colonial representations of Two-Spirit culture.
