Rock School Bus
Set time to be announced
We are offering engaging, bookable workshops including introductions to electric guitar, drums, keyboard, bass, and vocals. We are also running interactive “How to Be a Rockstar” activities, inviting participants to design their own band logo, create a vinyl label and stage outfit, write riffs or song lyrics, and explore a variety of rock instruments in a fun, creative environment.
Rock School Bus is a Community Interest Company based in South Lincolnshire founded in 2021 by Amber Sinclair. Recognising low cultural engagement in the area, she identified how financial and geographic barriers were preventing children and young people from accessing quality music opportunities, increasing risks to their mental health and wellbeing. Her mission is to ensure every child can experience music and the arts, building skills for a confident and fulfilling future.
At the heart of the initiative is a converted double-decker bus, transformed into a mobile music facility. It functions as both a stage and creative space, visiting schools, fetes, festivals, and community events. Equipped with a PA system for indoor and outdoor sound, the bus allows young participants to perform live, explore instruments, and even dress up as their favourite rock stars. Guided by experienced music practitioners, children and young people learn to play popular songs on electric instruments and gain hands-on experience of live music performance.
Each year Rock School Bus travels to rural and isolated communities across South Lincolnshire and surrounding areas helping young people develop musical skills, confidence, and improved wellbeing through creative engagement.
