Samba Workshop with Big Beat Drumming

Dive into the electrifying world of Brazilian street drumming! Here's your opportunity to learn one of the globe's most dynamic drumming styles.

Originating from the vibrant favelas of Rio De Janeiro, this workshop uses authentic Brazilian instruments – including the powerful Surdo bass drum, the bright Ago-go bells, and the crisp snare drums – to immerse participants in the passion, energy, and infectious rhythms of the streets.

You'll find it incredibly easy to pick up, and the collaborative nature of drumming fosters valuable communication skills that will resonate long after the session ends.

Your rhythmic journey begins with a traditional Afro-Brazilian welcome song, setting the vibrant atmosphere for the workshop.

We'll then quickly dive into learning the fundamental rhythms for either an exhilarating Samba Reggae piece or a powerful traditional Afro-Brazilian groove called Ijexá. Using authentic Brazilian instruments such as the Surdo bass drum, Ago-go bells, and snare drums, you'll immerse yourself in the passion and infectious rhythms of the streets.

Incredibly easy to learn and a fantastic way to build lasting communication skills.

Each participant is given an instrument and within 45 mins we will have anyone listening dancing to our grooves.
