Jasper Zest

Zest traces his love affair with mixing back nearly 20 years to a university tower block in the Midlands. After months spent refining his craft on friends’ decks, cutting together old-school drum & bass and jungle 12”s, he quickly found himself supporting major acts at student union nights, basement parties, floating dance floors and even atop a double-decker bus.

Now based in the South East, Zest has continued to evolve his sound, playing renowned venues including Fire & Lightbox and The Cause, featuring on Uprock Radio at The Haggerston, and appearing at festivals such as City Sound Project, Lounge on the Farm, Cirque du Soul and the popular El Dorado festival.

His sets glide through soulful re-edits and chunky disco before descending into driving house, shuffling breaks and heavyweight bass. Threaded with nods to funk and hip-hop, Zest delivers selections that are eclectic, inventive and consistently fresh, just as the name suggests.
