Jonny Sunshine

Music has been part of Jonny Sunshine's life for as long as he can remember. Born into a musical family, his lifelong passion for discovering and sharing music eventually led him behind the decks, where creating an atmosphere became just as important as selecting the next record.

After spending much of his late teens in Ibiza during the late 1980s, Jonny found himself inspired by the legendary Balearic pioneers such as José Padilla, Alfredo Fiorito and Phil Mison. Their open-minded approach to music—where emotion mattered more than genre, shaped his own philosophy as a DJ.

For Jonny, DJing has always been about soundtracking a moment. Whether it's a sunset, a sunrise or an open-air gathering, he believes the right music can transform an environment and create unforgettable memories.

His musical journey has taken him around the world, from playing the legendary Full Moon parties in the early 1990s at his own Vinyl Café on the island of Ko Pha Ngan, to soundtracking sunsets in Ibiza, playing high in the Himalayas, and performing at festivals across the UK.

Expect an eclectic musical journey that crosses genres with ease, Balearic, downtempo, ambient, disco, soul, house, electronica, world music and those unexpected gems that simply feel right in the moment. Every set is built around connection, atmosphere and taking people somewhere, rather than staying within musical boundaries.

Having called Ibiza home for over 27 years, Jonny continues to draw inspiration from the island's unique spirit. His aim is simple: to bring warmth, freedom and sunshine through music.

Because in the end, it's never been about the genre, it's always been about the feeling.
