Lime Garden
Set time to be announced
The SmudgeLime Garden are four friends jumping over genre boundaries to create a sound that is uplifting yet somehow laid-back. They achieve this neat trick by harnessing catchy melodies and earworm hooks into an almost nonchalant net of lo-fi sounds, which is then sprinkled with a dry-wit to bring their world to life.
Having only released a handful of singles to date, these have all been met with widespread critical acclaim from the likes of The Sunday Times, Loud & Quiet, The Observer, The Line Of Best Fit, and more. Lime Garden have also been heavily supported by BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders in his Future Artists slot and by Lauren Laverne and Tom Robinson at BBC Radio 6 Music. New single “Bitter”, released via So Young Records, finds Lime Garden moving through the gears with its pulsing guitars, widescreen synths and driving bass and drums. Lyrically, Bitter deals with the darker side of human emotions. Chloe from Lime Garden explains: “Jealousy, anger, and frustration are all channelled through this song. I think it’s important to indulge those feelings as you then realise that everything passes eventually – hence the line “because the grass is greener once it’s rained”.
Lime Garden have toured with the likes of Idles, Sunflower Bean, Katy J Pearson, Yard Act and were also nominated for the prestigious ANCHOR award at the 2022 Reeperbahn festival.
