Last Night a DJ Saved My LifeLearn to DJ with Last Night a DJ Saved my Life and Pointblank Music School
This summer, Last Night A DJ Saved My Life is bringing proper DJ lessons to Wilderness. Three days, three levels, beginner, intermediate and advanced, taught by Sat Bansal (aka DJ Shorty), lecturer at Pointblank Music School, where DJing is a degree module.
Pointblank is one of the world's leading music schools, with campuses in London, LA and online, and a track record of producing working DJs and producers. Sat brings that same rigour to the festival, along with a career spanning pirate radio, BBC 1Xtra, Glastonbury, and a residency at Brixton's ChipShop.
Each session is one hour long with up to 4 participants. Whether you're picking up a pair of headphones for the first time or looking to tighten up your technique, there's a level for you.
What you'll cover
Beginners get hands-on with the kit, understanding the mixer, basic beatmatching, and getting comfortable with the flow of a set. Intermediate sessions move into EQ, phrasing, and reading a crowd. Advanced goes deeper, blending techniques, layering tracks, and building sets with real intention.
LNADJ brings together the electronic music community to build something that matters. Our Get Equipped initiative takes surplus DJ, production and music kit and puts it directly into the hands of young people, donating to educational and community organisations across the UK and beyond. World-class DJs and producers teach young people to play, mix and make music, giving access to creative education where there isn't any.
