Wellbeing In The Wild

This is a workshop that blends embodied, intuitive movement with breathwork and guided meditation to reconnect us to nature and our natural selves.

Our nervous systems evolved in nature, our psyche is shaped by nature, this workshop helps us remember that connection. We’ll start with gentle embodied movement inspired by our evolution from water to walking, somatic techniques to awaken our senses to the natural world, then a journey with breathwork and guided visualisation to explore the wildest corners of the natural world.

You’ll leave feeling grounded, inspired and more alive to the world around you.

Ruth guides breathwork, embodied movement and nature based practices. Practices that make space for dreaming, time to dwell in the liminal spaces where creativity bubbles. It’s from there we can imagine better futures for self, community and cosmos. Her journey here (corporate burnout to tender of nervous systems) means she likes to merge the science and magic of the practices, geeking out whilst embracing the mystery.

Ruth is co-founder of The Understory, a project to explore how embodiment, ecology and creativity are intimately intertwined and participatory. A space to explore new paths home to ourselves by finding ways to remember connection with land and our more than human kin. A way to embody the knowing that we ARE nature!
