The Soul Food Café

Connect with body, mind and soul.... And support a great local cause!

A meditative journey through medicinal herbal tea as a whole-body experience. In this gentle and grounding workshop, you’ll be guided to slowly drink and consciously track the sensations of a herbal infusion through the body - noticing its effects on your mind, breath, and energy.

Along the way, you’ll learn about the herb itself, its traditional qualities for health, and its place in folklore. You’ll leave the ceremony with a new plant friend, a different way of seeing the living world, a deeper connection to your body, and a sense of calm and restoration to carry through the rest of your day.

The ceremony is facilitated by Usha, whose work is rooted in a deep relationship with plants, ecology, and community connection. With over a decade of experience foraging, growing, and crafting plant medicines - alongside her work with Natural England supporting biodiversity and soil health - she brings together ecological knowledge, lived practice, and heartfelt facilitation.

Usha is the founder of Artemisia Kin, a collective exploring connection to land, plants, and community through seasonal practice, ceremony, and shared learning. She is also a Director of The Nature Effect CIC, and all proceeds from this workshop will support its work growing community and prison garden projects that help people reconnect with nature.
