Usual Suspects Takeover: Beyond the Struttosphere

Beyond The Struttopshere is a collaboration between two UK/US-based DJ-producers blending dark disco with chugging basslines, reverbed guitar riffs, syncopated arpeggiators, cosmic synths and psychedelic 303 sequences.

Their debut EP ‘New Frontier’ found much acclaim among Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston’s A Love From Outer Space online fraternity, also appearing on Juan Mclean’s (DFA Records) contribution to Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space mix series. This propelled the duo onwards with further releases on Mélopée Records, Discolypso, IDWT, Emerald & Doreen, Roam Recordings, and HIFI/LOFI Records, four of which reached top chart positions on Beatport and Juno Download. Their music is now making cosmic reverberations around the globe with DJ sets at Glastonbury’s Rabbit Hole (UK), Secret Garden Party (UK), Noisily Festival (UK), Wilderness Festival (UK), Sisyphos (Berlin), KitKat Club (Berlin), Mimi Disco (Mexico City), Format Festival (USA), Halo (Cape Town), and remix backing from many heavyweights of the scene including Mufti, Phunkadelica, Shubostar, Badknife, Rigopolar and Rebolledo.
