The Mindful Space

With Laura Macready

You’re exhausted. But your mind is still running. If you’ve ever climbed into bed desperate to sleep while your thoughts keep looping… if you’ve tried meditation, early nights, or just “switching off” and found it doesn’t work… this workshop will explain why.

In this immersive session, Psychiatric Nurse and clinical hypnotherapist Laura Macready breaks down what’s happening inside the brain when you feel wired, restless, or mentally “on” all the time. You’ll learn what keeps the brain stuck in overdrive, why “switching off” isn’t something you can force, and what actually allows the nervous system to settle. Then you’ll experience it for yourself. Laura will guide you through a powerful live hypnosis experience designed to gently shift your body out of overdrive and into a deeply restorative state.

Hypnosis isn’t sleep or mind control - it’s a natural, focused state where your nervous system becomes more receptive to calm and safety.

Come curious. Leave clearer, calmer, and reset.

Laura Macready is a Psychiatric Nurse and clinical hypnotherapist specialising in nervous system regulation and subconscious change. Her work explores why so many modern minds struggle to switch off - especially during periods of stress, pressure, or life transition. In Why Your Brain Won’t Switch Off, Laura explains what’s really happening beneath the surface when your thoughts won’t settle. Drawing from her clinical background in mental health nursing, she breaks down the simple brain mechanisms that keep you stuck in stress and overdrive, and why willpower alone doesn’t calm the nervous system. This isn’t about positive thinking or forcing yourself to relax. It’s about understanding your brain well enough to work with it instead of fighting it.

After unpacking the neuroscience in a clear, accessible way, Laura guides the audience through a powerful live hypnosis experience designed to gently shift the body out of stress chemistry and into a deeply restorative state. Expect insight, calm, and a real-time reset. You won’t just understand why your brain won’t switch off - you’ll experience what it feels like when it finally does.
